John Bivins (R) is still on the loose.

Police say the passenger in the vehicle was John Bivins.

About 5:16 p.m. Tuesday, CHP officers tried to pull over a vehicle on Interstate 5 near Eight Mile Road, according to CHP - Stockton.

Travel McClough (left) has been arrested and John Blivens (right) is still at large. Police say Bivins then fled northbound on Trinity Parkway. A short chase ensued onto southbound Trinity Parkway, where McClough exited, ran into a Walmart store and was later apprehended, the CHP said. The driver of the vehicle ran into a nearby Walmart and was later detained. McClough has been booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.

He jumped in the driver seat and took off. Just south of McAuliffe Road, Bivins was involved in an officer-involved shooting with a CHP officer.

McClough and Bivins eluded deputies escorting them through a Palo Alto court on November 6, bolted through an emergency exit and ran outside to a waiting auto.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or Bivins is asked to call 911.

Two people suspected of helping the men escape - Marquita Kirk, 44, of Sunnyvale, and Rene Hunt, 54, of East Palo Alto - have been arrested, according to the sheriff's office.
