X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne became so emotional during a contestant's performance on Sunday night that she had to have consoled by her colleague, Nicole Scherzinger.

George passed away on Christmas Day a year ago at the age of 53 due to natural causes, to the shock and devastation of fans worldwide.

The star was asked by host Dermot O'Leary to introduce the hopeful during the ITV show's latest live show.

Taking to the stage, Lloyd sang his rendition of the late George Michael's hit A Different Corner.

Unable to hide her tears, the star explained that Lloyd's singing had made her realise how much she misses George.
