At least 3 dead in California school shooting, shooter killed by police

The shooter has been shot and killed by authorities.

Tehama County Sheriff deputies are at the scene of a reported shooting in the area of Rancho Tehama in Tehama County at this hour.

Law enforcement officials have killed the alleged shooter.

According to the sheriff's office, several shots were fired at Rancho Tehama School sometime before 9 a.m.

A 6-year-old and another child are among the injured.

A six year-old child with two gunshot wounds was reportedly transported by helicopter to a hospital.

An official at the Corning Elementary School District confirmed the elementary school in Rancho Tehama is on lockdown.

Police say students at Rancho Tehama Elementary on Stagecoach Road, located about 20 miles southwest of Red Bluff, are being evacuated to Rancho Tehama Recreation Hall where parents can pick them up. Police said there were "at least five" shooting scenes.
