Did Mahira Khan's Verna get banned in Pakistan?

Mahira Khan's upcoming film "Verna" has reportedly been banned in Pakistan after landing in hot water with the country's censor board. "The film doesn't have to be banned, and can be tweaked and censored a bit to be deemed fit for release", The Express Tribune quoted the SBFC General Secretary Abdul Razzaq Khuhawar as saying. Nothing has been decided and the film is not banned so far.

Pakistan's Federal Censor Board has stopped Verna from being screened. The film is expected to be reviewed by the full board today and the Verna team is hopeful for a decision in the film's favour.

Stunning celebrities and prominent personalities will also been invited on the red carpet of the third film of Shoaib Mansoor's career as director. Mahira Khan and Haroon Shahid have said that the film revolves around the women empowerment.
