FBI, Lincoln Police address Sydney Loofe disappearance

FBI, Lincoln Police address Sydney Loofe disappearance

In a video posted to Facebook overnight, one of two people described by police as "persons of interest" in the case said, "We've pretty much chose to turn ourselves in and see where this goes". "I haven't heard from her since", she said. He didn't say where Trail and Boswell are, but Thysse earlier said they were "somewhere in the Midwest".

In a video posted Wednesday morning on the Finding Sydney Loofe Facebook page, which has since been deleted, the two, who were wearing black and sitting in a vehicle, commented on being "slammed and crucified" by news outlets in recent days. They released a second pair of videos on Thursday morning. "Please, do the right thing", George Loofe said.

"Bailey Boswell and Aubrey Trail are two people that we need to speak with and believe may have additional information concerning Sydney's whereabouts", Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister said.

Authorities have launched a large search in Saline and Gage Counties in connection to 24-year-old Sydney Loofe's disappearance.

Court documents show an arrest warrant had been filed for Trial by Saline County authorities on November 21 for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person. Police say she was last seen in Wilber, 40 miles (64 kilometers) southwest of Lincoln.

She received the charge for possession of less than 1 ounce in April of 2016.

Bliemeister said authorities had contact with them moments before the press conference. She was soon declared a missing person.

Her friend told police she had gone on a date with a woman she met online, and was planning to meet the date again on the day of her disappearance.

Trail says in the Wednesday video that after looking at news reports and listening to police statements, he and Boswell thought it was time to share their side of the story because "they're chasing us around like dogs". Folkers also said the family was shocked about the new information. Trail also said he was sorry Loofe couldn't be with her family on Thanksgiving.
