'Mindhunter' Season 2 Officially Announced by Netflix

This one proclaimed that they need to see more suspects, which is great news for us as viewers, but maybe not great news for some of these characters, who often found themselves consumed by some of what they were going through in their studies.

The Pittsburgh-show Netflix series "Mindhunter", about the early days of criminal profiling in the FBI's serial killer unit, has been renewed for a second season. Mindhunter is a fresh take on crime procedurals, delving into the murders committed by serial killers as part of the research process by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents to get into the minds of people who repeatedly kill.

Joe Penhall created the series, with David Fincher, Joshua Donen, Charlize Theron, and Cean Chaffin executive producing.

Based on the 1995 true crime memoir Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker.

The Mindhunter cast includes Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv, Hannah Gross and Cameron Britton.

Next year we're looking at the Atlanta child murders, so we'll have a lot more African-American music which will be nice. At the start of several episodes, we get a glimpse of a mysterious man (Sonny Valicenti), methodically assembling things he needs to commit murder. Season one debuted October 13.

While it's been rumored for quite some time, it appears that a Mindhunter season 2 renewal is finally a go at Netflix.

Fans of serial killer dramas should be excited to know that Mindhunter Season 2 is happening. Mindhunter Season 2 comes to us from director David Fincher, who previously kick-started the first Netflix Original series House of Cards.
