Overwatch Will Soon Receive Some Xbox One X Enchancements

Blizzard Entertainment is apparently taking advantage of the Xbox One X's increased processing power to add some Overwatch Xbox One X enhancements, which will help to get the game into a better 4K resolution. Other developers have bundled their Xbox One X updates with additional fixes and tweaks to their games, and if Blizzard follows suit, perhaps Overwatch's Xbox One X enhancements will come with the addition of new support hero Moira or the Blizzard World map in 2018.

Either way, if you bought an Xbox One X when they came out and play Overwatch, you'll be abel to get the enhancements soon.

"The team is now exploring how the game experience can be enhanced on this platform to leverage the console's incredible hardware", it said.

Blizzard has now confirmed that it's going to release Xbox One X enhancements for Overwatch.

Outside of Overwatch, Activision Blizzard already had a slew of AAA games with Xbox One X enhancements to look forward to. This could mean that similar results will be seen on the Xbox One X leading up to its update, but that remains unconfirmed until Blizzard provides more details or it's uncovered from those playing Overwatch after the patch. Overwatch's colorful characters and incredibly detailed worlds make it a flawless candidate to test Xbox One X's graphical power.

Overwatch received PlayStation 4 support before this but strangely the 4K update turned to be only for the User Interface (UI) of the game not game play and the actual in-game resolution stayed at 1080P alnog with updates and improvements in Depth of Field (DoF) and Anisotropic Filtering (AF).
