Rapper/Actress Eve to Take Aisha Tyler's Seat on 'The Talk'

Eve has signed on to be the fifth full-time cohost of CBS' "The Talk".

On Tuesday, CBS announced that the Grammy Award victor will join Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood as a new full-time host. Eve was a standout and proved she was the right fit earlier this month when she co-hosted for a week, impressing viewers, the network, and the cast.

Eve debuted on the show on Tuesday alongside fellow co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.

The artist, whose real name is Eve Jeffers Cooper, is replacing Aisha Tyler, who recently left "The Talk" to concentrate on her directing and acting career.

Eve is best known for hits "What Ya Want", "Gangsta Lovin", and "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" with Gwen Stefani, which won the inaugural Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2002. Eve also acted in the "Barbershop" feature film franchise as well as starring in her own self-titled sitcom for the defunct UPN in 2003-06. "I'm just in a place in my life where I was looking for a platform to express myself". This opportunity came and it's something new, something exciting.
