Virginia will host Fordham or St. Francis (N.Y.) in the second round at 5 p.m. Sunday. It's the first Omaha program, other than hockey, to advance to the NCAA Tournament.

N.C. State (8-5-4) is in the tournament for the first time since 2009. The game time and ticket information will be announced later on Monday.

MI will make its sixth tournament appearance overall and the first since 2012 after claiming the Big Ten Championship.

Wisconsin snared the Big Ten's automatic berth in the NCAA tournament by virtue of its win over in in Sunday's Big Ten championship game.

The field includes nine ACC teams.

The Spartans are coming off a 2-1 upset loss against Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals. The Wolverines earned a first-round bye as the No. 13 seed, and will entertain the victor of the Massachusetts-Colgate match on Sunday in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Hokies advanced to the Elite Eight last season. The Badgers defeated No. 4 seed Maryland 2-1 (Nov. 5) and No. 1 seed MI 4-0 (Nov. 10) on their way to the tournament crown. The victor will visit Michigan State (11-3-3), the No. 7 overall seed in the 48-team field, in the second round Sunday. The Terrapins will open the first round against Albany on Thursday at home. The national quarterfinals will follow on December 1-2 at campus venues. The 2017 NCAA College Cup will be contested on December 8 (national semifinals) and December 10 (national final) at Talen Energy Stadium in Philadelphia, live on ESPN2.
