After Replacing Spacey, Plummer Is Nominated For A Golden Globe

With just two weeks to go until it arrives in USA cinemas, Sony Pictures has released a "look inside" featurette for the upcoming drama All the Money in the World, which includes interviews with stars Mark Wahlberg, Christopher Plummer, Timothy Hutton, and Michelle Williams, and director Ridley Scott; watch it here...

In early November, it was announced that Plummer would be taking over from Kevin Spacey in the film, just six weeks before its planned release date, after Star Trek Discovery's Anthony Rapp and eight current and former members of the House of Cards cast and crew came forward to accuse Spacey of sexually inappropriate behaviour. The movie tells the true story of the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III and his mother's desperate attempt to convince his grandfather, oil tycoon J.

The decision by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which holds the award show, could be the fastest turnaround from performance to nomination, according to the Los Angeles Times. Except, if you remember, he was essentially scrubbed from the film after sexual misconduct allegations and replaced by Christopher Plummer.

Twitter reaction to the nomination was mixed. The movie picked up a surprise three Golden Globes nominations Monday morning, for Christopher Plummer as supporting actor but also Michelle Williams for actress in a drama and Ridley Scott for director. Scott is expected to participate in a Q&A following a Los Angeles screening on Friday, Dec. 15.

It looks like replacing disgraced actor Kevin Spacey in the upcoming movie "All the Money in the World" is already paying off.
