Atlanta anchor responds to email calling her a racial slur

While public figures generally ignore emails criticizing their work, CBS News 46 anchor Sharon Reed decided a particular one she received warranted some on-air attention. Kathyrae192 wrote. "you are what I call a N****r not a black person. you are what's wrong with the world".

Rather than taking the abuse lying down, Reed made a decision to call Kathy Rae out live on the air, delivering a scathing response right down the barrel of the camera. "I don't", Reed said.

With the utmost professionalism, Reed debunked the original claim that she and her team, whose races range from white and Black, were somehow race-baiting. I get it. On December 5th, 2017, you think it's OK to call this journalist a n****r.

Kathyrae1962 told Reed she should be fired after making a "race baiting comment" on air while she and her co-workers were discussing the Atlanta mayor's race. Specifically, they were discussing the part that race was playing in the contest between Councilwoman Keisha Lance Bottoms, who is black, and Councilwoman Mary Norwood, who is white.

As Reed noted in her segment Tuesday night, the reason you're probably counting the asterisk censors right now and growing confused is because Kathy Rae repeatedly misspelled the n-word in her dumbass email. "I think race is an authentic conversation to have". "And that will be the last word".

The differing races of the two candidates highlighted a racial divide in the city that is known for having mostly positive race relations between its white and black communities. "And here's my response", the Atlanta reporter wrote on her Facebook page.

So, yea, Sharon Reed of CBS46 News in Atlanta is pretty unbelievable!

Reed shared a post about the email on social media. After opening the floor for viewers to express their opinions, Kathy Rae jumped at the opportunity but obviously didn't think it through.
