Bezel-less Sony Xperia Photos Leak Online

Bezel-less Sony Xperia Photos Leak Online

We'd take all of this with a pinch of salt, especially the claims of an in-screen scanner, but with Sony set to change the design of its phones sooner or later it's possible that this is accurate.

Now, in newly leaked images, alleged Sony Xperia smartphones with close to no bezels have just popped up online giving us a first look at what could be the first "bezel-less" smartphones from the Japanese OEM.

The renders that are present in this post are said to be based on designed drafts by Sony. Indeed, after consumers' eyes have been tuned to edge-to-edge displays now, it will be hard to accept chunky bezeled smartphones from Sony in 2018. There was only one major smartphone brand, Sony that has not launched any bezel-less phone yet and has been continuing with the OmniBalance design which it started implementing in 2013.

The device having less rounded corners features a two-tone design for its back panel. On the back is a very unique looking curved matte and glossy surface, with the matte regions forming semicircles at the top and bottom. There is a dual camera setup with two large sized camera sensors at the top back panel that is separated by LED flash. This device seems to be the 2018 flagship smartphone from Sony. While both the phones show full-screen displays, the flagship Xperia model is tipped to be the one with sharper corners and reflective rear panel. The phone may also have a fingerprint scanner mounted within the display, which would make it one of the first smartphones to offer such a fingerprint sensor solution. But, despite this massive screen, both smartphones look like they could potentially come with front-facing stereo speakers.

The second upcoming Sony handset should also bring dual front-facing speakers and a dual rear camera, though its fingerprint sensor is expected to be a normal one situated on the back panel. There are no further information regarding specifications of the device. In the top left is a dual camera system along with the flash on the side. Apparently, the Sony Xperia phone will measure just 149mm tall, which is almost the same size as the 5.8-inch Samsung Galaxy S8 that measures 148mm tall.
