Derrick Rose's return to the Cavaliers might be a awful idea

Rose will be at the Cavs' game against the Kings on Wednesday night, and his teammates plan to check in with him individually when the opportunity presents itself in the coming days, according to a team source.

A left ankle injury has sidelined Rose for much of the season.

Late last month, Rose felt the need to evaluate his National Basketball Association future and did so away from the Cavaliers. However, it appears he has made his return to the team.

Several of Rose's teammates, LeBron James included, already had said publicly that Rose did not owe them an apology for the time he missed.

The Cavs have been very supportive of Rose throughout his time away from the team, but during that stretch without him they've finally gotten things together. "He asked me could he talk to the team before we started shootaround and addressed the team".

"We're where we want to be today and that's all we can focus on", James said. However, with Thomas continuing to recover from a hip injury, Rose was thrust into the starting lineup to start the season and showed flashes of his All-Star form while dealing with the sore ankle. Even though the team has been on a serious roll of late, a healthy Rose will be a welcomed addition when he is able to return and will add to the team's back court depth.

Love had 24 points and 13 rebounds while James weighed in with 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists as the Cavs improved to 17-7. You want to just get out of the game.

Although Rose is averaging 14.3 points per game, the Cavaliers have reeled off their 12-game win streak without him and have performed better when Rose has been off the court. Thomas is expected to return in the next few weeks and Dwyane Wade has been playing well running the point for Cleveland's second unit.
