Internet roasts Disney's animatronic Donald Trump figure

"Above all, to be American is to be an optimist - to believe that we can always do better - and that the best days of our great nation are still ahead of us", Trump concludes in a later snippet.

In the historic show, which first debuted on Magic Kingdom's opening day in 1971, a rousing montage honors the spirit of the nation before a stage filled with audio-animatronics of each past US president is revealed.

The special attraction inside the Disney theme park showcases American presidents over the years and has been re-opened after a year-long renovation.

An animatronic version of Donald Trump created for a Disney attraction has been mocked on social media.

Donald Trump's new animatronic statue at the Disney Hall Of Presidents has been unveiled, and many are noting that there's something not quite right about it. See photos and footage of the robot below.

Although a change.org petition was launched in June, attracting over 15,000 signatures, to keep Trump's robot from having a traditional speaking part, the president himself recorded a brief message of unity that his robot will now recite to visitors during the daily, 25-minute Hall of Presidents show.

LOS ANGELES - President Trump has finally arrived at Walt Disney World.

Some have taken to Twitter to either voice their general unease at Trump's portrayal, or note how similar he looks to legendary "Deliverance", "Heat", "Mission: Impossible" and "Pearl Harbour" star Jon Voight.

Some followers are comparing the waxy figure's face to that of actor Jon Voight, while others just completely slammed it!

Nearly a year after the Hall of Presidents was fully shut down on January 17 (just three days before Trump's inauguration), the exhibit was reopened this week, complete with a brand-new robotic statue of the current POTUS that talks, moves, and is, somehow, less creepy than the real thing. "You can tell it's Trump's robot, because Putin's backstage controlling it", Fallon joked.
