Jeffrey Tambor Hasn't Exited 'Transparent' Despite Earlier Statement

After two allegations of sexual harassment were made against star of Transparent Jeffrey Tambor, the actor announced he would not be returning to the Amazon series next season.

Tambor's nightmare began at the beginning of November (17), when his former assistant accused him of sexual harassment. Tambor then issued a statement saying, "I don't see how I can return", which many interpreted as confirmation that the Emmy-winning actor had resigned from the show.

Publicist Allan Mayer offered a more extensive explanation in the wake of more accusations from makeu partist Tamara Delbridge.

But he also said that he didn't see how he could return to the series given the "politicized atmosphere" that is now on set following the harassment claims.

On Wednesday, a rep for Jeffrey Tambor revealed that the actor may not be leaving Transparent after all.

Tambor is facing an investigation from Amazon over multiple allegations from actresses who say he sexually harassed them.

Amazon launched an investigation, speaking to both members of the Transparent production and Tambor personally. "What has become clear over the past weeks, however, is that this is no longer the job I signed up for four years ago".

Jeffrey Tambor has not quit "Transparent", despite a statement suggesting otherwise. At the time the allegations were made, Tambor vehemently denied them, referring to them as "baseless".

Lysette claims that when she emerged from from wardrobe in a costume of a lingerie top and shorts for a scene with Tambor, he said: 'My God, Trace.

Tambor is now facing three sexual harassment allegations.

"I felt his penis on my hip through his thin pajamas and I pushed him off of me", she said. An Amazon representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
