Lucknow horror: Teen cancer patient raped twice in six hours

She was gang-raped first by two men, one of them was her acquaintance, and then by a passer-by from whom she sought help, according to reports in The Times of India. The girl accepted his offer.

In a horrific incident, a 15-year-old blood cancer survivor was allegedly raped twice within a span of few hours on late Saturday night (9 December) in the outskirts of Lucknow, the capital city of the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

According to police, the victim is suffering from blood cancer. He, along with his friend, raped her and later left her on the roadside. After having a small conversation there, the accused took her to another friend namely Sumit. The minor managed to reach her home at around 3 am on Sunday, after which her father, who had been searching for her, filed a police complaint, and an FIR was lodged.

Police said, "She on seeing a bike cried for help".

They allegedly dumped her on a road and threatened to kill her if she spoke to anyone about the crime. "However, he instead took the minor to the roadside, raped her and left her there", the officer added.

The police have nabbed the commuter identified by the police as Virendra Yadav of Bantharaand search is on for the other two who were identified by the victim as Shubham and Sumit in the complaint. She was sent for a medical examination and police contacted a social organisation to counsel the traumatised girl.

The case has been registered under relevant section of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
