One dead after stabbing, crash in WA

One person have been confirmed dead and several are injured in Western Australia after a auto rammed into pedestrians in a chilling reminder of recent United Kingdom terror attacks.

A major police operation is underway in the suburb, with an area around Eucalyptus Boulevard closed off as part of the investigation.

There are reports a vehicle hit a pedestrian and a 16-year-old boy is understood to be in a critical condition.

Witnesses said a teenage boy was handcuffed at the scene of the vehicle crash and taken away for questioning by police.

Police confirmed a "large group of people" were fighting outside the Ranford Road fast food outlet around 3.15pm.
