It bigger sibling will also feature a dual-camera setup at the back, similar to the Galaxy Note 8. For those unaware, the Galaxy S9 carries model number SM-G960, and, the S9+ carries model number SM-G965.

For now there's no telling if the Geekbench scores really belong to the Galaxy S9+. Both the smartphones will pack a 64GB of internal storage, which could be further expanded via micro SD card slot and both of them will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Indian launch of the devices might happen in April 2017. The phones are expected to come on 128GB and 256GB memory variants. The 16-megapixel rear camera has a wider aperture of f/1.7 for better low-light snaps, and a second camera has been added to the front.

Available in black, orchid gray, gold, and blue, the Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus will also support an Always On Display, and Samsung Pay for mobile transactions.

A new Samsung smartphone has been found listed on Geekbench benchmarking website, revealing its key specs and features. "Moreover, the company will strive to secure business growth opportunities through new technologies such as 5G and by strengthening the services and software competencies".

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ will retain the same glass sandwich design as with past iterations. However, the score is still below the Apple's new A11 Bionic chipset. In both models, the screen has been stretched to fill most of the front of the device, following this year's trend with what Samsung calls an "Infinity Display". However, a Samsung representative has already said that this is "unlikely".
