Tiger Zinda Hai Movie Review

Tiger Zinda Hai Movie Review

Salman's previous release - Tubelight- proved to be a dud at the Box Office and hence it would be interesting to see if Tiger Zinda Hai helps him claim his spot yet again. Until he joined hands with director Kabir Khan, who has a flair for making war films in Bollywood, the actor wasn't really a content-driven star.

Set in Iraq, the film will witness Tiger (Salman Khan) and Zoya (Katrina Kaif) on a deadly mission as they try to rescue 25 Indian nurses taken hostage by a terrorist group. "Clearly, we are heading towards a monster box office opening for the film", says Kamal Gianchandani, CEO PVR Pictures Limited and Chief Business Planning and Strategy PVR Limited. In order to save the nurses, Shenoy (Girish Karnad), head of RAW appoints Tiger and what happens next is certainly entertaining to watch. The antagonist, Abu Usman, played by Iran-born Sajjad Delafrooz, however, shines in his role and makes his presence felt in nearly every scene. The film has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar of Sultan fame. The film also touches upon relationships between India and Pakistan but subtly.

However, the only thing that the film strives to achieve is to proclaim Salman as the sole saviour with even Katrina taking a backseat.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai released across theatres today, to end the year 2017 on a positive note. In fact, pre interval, the sudden entry of Katrina is quite melodramatic. Tiger Zinda Hai exactly delivers something that Salman fans yearn for. Katrina Kaif gets into action-girl mode, displaying some kick-ass stunts. Needless to add, a lot of sequences defy logic, but at the same time, there are many moments that will leave Salman Khan and action film fans impressed.
