Vine could be making a comeback, co-founder tweets familiar logo

Since his post on Wednesday night, speculation has been swirling that a "Vine 2" could be on the horizon.

However he just took to Twitter to tease something HUGE...

Vine was acquired by Twitter back in 2012, before it even launched.

Hofmann's image comes about a week after a string of tweets in which he discussed working on a follow-up to VIne. It enjoyed its fair share of popularity among young people on the platform, but it was progressively phased out until its discontinuation earlier this year. The other two co-founders of Vine have been busy as well lately with the skyrocketing popularity of their hot new app: HQTrivia. Are we turnt or burnt over Vine? Ride-or-die Vine heads are all about it. Up until now, all we have are the entrepreneurs own cryptic tweets, which offer tiny bits of information about the development process rather than the app itself.

Hofmann has not yet commented on the V2 project, so it's not clear how the platform will compare to Vine. I have some people in my life who literally lay in bed quietly sobbing scrolling through old videos as they scream whenever someone suggests alternate social media platforms.

Get ready, internet, there are about to more new-age vine stars than you can handle. Needless to say it was a beloved app and social media outlet.
