WWE star John Cena tries hand at cricket

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Hollywood star John Cena is known to be an enthusiast and has always stated that he likes trying out new things. John Cena, one of the most celebrated wrestlers across the WWE universe, is not new to the film industry.

Former Australia all-rounder, Shane Watson, was on hand to help Cena with his batting during a Sydney Thunder training session on Tuesday.

The 16-time WWE Champion took to Twitter to share his experience of learning the ropes in a sport that isn't so commonly played in the United States of America (USA).

The American held the bat aloft as if it were its baseball equivalent, as the bowler ran in to deliver the ball.

That might be where John Cena's heading after doing some promo work with the Sydney Thunder.

The upcoming season of the Big Bash League is all set to begin on December 19, with Sydney Thunder hosting rivals Sydney Sixers in an all-Sydney derby at the Sydney Showground Stadium.

However, Cena, who is now promoting his new film is all likely to return to WWE ahead of the Royal Rumble early next year, which leads to Wrestlemania in April.

He is now tied with WWE legend Ric Flair with the most number of championships (16) and will be eyeing his 17th title.
