Caitlyn Jenner Confronts Piers Morgan Over 'Disrespectful' Question About Her Transition

Caitlyn Jenner called out Piers Morgan for being "disrespectful" to the trans community during her interview on his TV show "Life Stories".

The comment appeared to rile up the onetime Olympian, who shot back: 'You made a comment there and that's why you would get in trouble, OK?

When pushed by Piers on whether writing in the book that she had transitioned but not sending that section of the book to the Kardashians ahead of publication was "wilfully deceptive", Caitlyn said: "Because I didn't want them to leak it to the press. Ok". It's a very serious part of my life.

Sitting down with the Good Morning Britain presenter for the latest series of his Life Stories series, Caitlyn opened up about keeping her decision to transition under wraps.

"I don't talk to the Kardashians anymore", Caitlyn admitted. I take that very seriously.

Morgan pulled out an Olympic action figurine of Bruce Jenner and asked Caitlyn how her physique has changed between then and now. "You just said 'Oh, certain areas.' That to a trans person, is disrespectful", she explained. This is serious stuff.

The star of the reality show I Am Cait said she concealed her reassignment surgery - of which she went through the "final surgery" in April this year - because she didn't trust her former family not to go to the press.

Caitlyn, who was born a man, was stunned at the host's disregard to her feelings. The first was that Caitlyn had undergone gender reassignment surgery, and the second was a chapter that mentioned Robert Kardashian and the O.J. trial.

"You don't make a joke about that because it's not amusing, it's life", Jenner said.

Jenner stopped the interview and took the time to put Morgan down for the remark. "I had already been living as Caitlyn for a year and a half, ok, nobody knows anything".

Jenner added: "It is a terribly complicated issue, I didn't even understand it for many, many years".

"Nobody knows. I had to be honest, the book is about honesty".

"I spent 23 years of my life carpooling those kids around, raising them, taking care of them".

She's right, of course - more trans people died last year in the U.S. than any other year on record. "I told her before I ever slept with her, she knew".
