Foot injury to keep quarterback Mason Rudolph out of Senior Bowl

Foot injury to keep quarterback Mason Rudolph out of Senior Bowl

Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph will not compete at next week's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., because of a minor left foot sprain, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Rudolph, who's foot is stable and doesn't require surgery, is expected to be "fine" within two weeks.

Rapoport also said Rudolph is frustrated that the injury didn't heal like he thought it would as he will miss out on an opportunity to improve his draft stock. NFLDraftScout.com ranks Rudolph as the sixth-best quarterback prospect in 2018 and a likely second-round pick.

Rudolph led the FBS in passing with 4,909 yards to go along with 37 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.

Rudolph was one of eight quarterbacks who accepted invites to the January 27 Senior Bowl, including notable players like Heisman Trophy victor Baker Mayfield and potential first-round pick Josh Allen.
