Mirren is, however, a big fan of Claire Foy's portrayal of Elizabeth as a young queen in TV series The Crown.

When Helen Mirren visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently, she thought she was a full year older than she really was. "I think Claire Foy was brilliant".

Foy portrayed Elizabeth in the first two seasons of the Netflix series and she will be replaced by Broadchurch star Olivia Colman for season three. But DeGeneres is confident in her findings and reassures the actress that she is, in fact, 72 years old. I've just made a whole year.

Ellen being Ellen, she couldn't let the Winchester actress get too excited about her youth, teasing that "Although it does seem like you're aging, you don't know your age".
