Jane Fonda opens up on her cancer battle

Jane Fonda opens up on her cancer battle

On Monday afternoon, the actress attended a panel in New York City to promote the upcoming season of her show Grace and Frankie.

"I just want to explain the bandage", she said. "I take care of myself", Fonda said. "You admit you've had work done, which I think is to your credit". I just want to explain it.

Although Jane was spotted several times throughout the day covering her face with her hand, she was very open about discussing the growth while being interview by Howard Stern earlier in the day.

She said: "Hey listen, the world is falling apart, what's a lip". To which Fonda replied, "Yeah, they did [biopsy it.] I'm going to be fine, thanks".

This isn't her first cancer scare.

Fonda couldn't have looked happier - or healthier - while celebrating her 80th birthday in December, with a star-studded "Eight Decades of Jane" fundraiser event in Atlanta, Georgia. ET sat down with the actress ahead of her milestone birthday, where she revealed that she's in the midst of her "favorite" time of her life. In 2010, the mother-of-three underwent a lumpectomy after her doctor found a small cancerous tumour during a routine mammogram check. "When you're older, if you do it very gently and slowly on a regular basis, the aches and pains go away", she explained.

Jane Fonda is now enjoying a great run with Lily Tomlin in the hit TV series Grace and Frankie, and Richard sat down with her to talk about it. Then, the duo chat about their hit Netflix series GRACE AND FRANKIE and how shocked they are that younger fans enjoy watching the sometimes-racy show with grandparents.
