Juventus lining up free transfer for Jack Wilshere in summer time

Arsene Wenger is adamant Jack Wilshere will stay at Arsenal - and the Frenchman has hinted he can become the club's permanent captain.

He has gone on to play the full 90 minutes in all of Arsenal's last 8 league outings, with large sections of the Gunners' fanbase now calling for the 34-time capped worldwide to be handed a new contract at the club (his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season).

Following a nightmare campaign during which he managed just 3 Premier League appearances for the Gunners in 2015/16, Wilshere was sent out on loan to Bournemouth last season.

A source said: 'Jack interests Juventus and feelers have been put out. He is completely focussed on Arsenal.

'The fact that he has been away and come back... he realises as well that life here is not so bad maybe!

"Who would question his love and commitment for the club?"

Jose Mourinho and Man Utd will be more relaxed about that scenario, believing they already have convinced Ozil to move, and would prefer to get him on a free transfer as they have cover in the number 10 role. We have to find out if he wants to stay and then after that we have to find satisfying financial agreement with Jack that is good for him.

"He's much more patient and mature, analyses better". Before his desire to play was the only thing that mattered. However, Arsenal have offered him a contract, though not to the liking of Merson.

Today's opponents Crystal Palace made a bid for Wilshere 12 months ago, and now manager Roy Hodgson - who took him to the 2014 World Cup - reckons the midfielder is back to his best. He has a lot of injury prevention work to do and does that religiously.
