LG's G6 successor reportedly appears in new render

LG's G6 successor reportedly appears in new render

The "all-screen" design trend is going to continue in 2018.

Last we heard, LG's next flagship was going to be announced during either MWC or later in March.

That stands in stark contrast to the Galaxy S9, which is expected to come with a almost identical design to last year's models. LG, meanwhile, apparently didn't run into whatever problem Samsung was having with its original Galaxy S9 design.

A cellular plan comparison site called TigerMobiles has managed to get its hands on what could be our first look at the new LG G7's design. It's unclear where the render came from, and the site uses odd language like "a render of the supposed G7 has been spotted online". Although details are scant on what exactly the smartphone might offer, the image appears to show a device with a screen-to-body ratio that could top what you'd find in this year's Galaxy S9.

Once such firm is LG, who have accidentally revealed some key information for their upcoming high-end mobile phone on the official LG website. It is hard to decipher the screen size of the handset based on the render. Nevertheless, we're able to make out extraordinarily slim bezels on all sides of the display, as well as dual front cameras, which have previously been rumored.

In fact, the smartphone's design is reminiscent of the iPhone X, which, save for the "notch" where the earpiece and front-facing camera live, is all screen. One such upcoming device that surfaced on rumors and speculations is the LG G7 that is likely to be unveiled in the coming months.
