Massac crash kills woman, two children

A deadly crash on US 45 in Massac County left 3 people dead.

Killian, 23, of Marion, Illinois, was one of the deceased.

The crash occurred when 23-year-old Rachel Killian of Marion ran off the right-hand side of the roadway, overcorrected, and crossed into the southbound lane of US 45 where she collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Karla Reichert of Karnak.

The crash occurred at 6:23 Thursday morning. She had two 3-year-old girls in the auto, the 1-year-old boy and a 9-month-old boy. She then overcorrected and crossed into the southbound lane.

Drivers of two other vehicles: 57-year-old Karla Reichert of Karnak, Illinois, and 62-year-old Cathy Ulen of Ullin, Illinois, were traveling south. Her vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway.
