"[$$$] NVIDIA announces 65" 4K 120Hz gaming displays with Android TV built in

The company today announced a new hardware initiative with partners Acer, Asus and HP: big format gaming displays (BFGD).

But you're still going to be to have to hold out until the summer before they actually do get a release, which is probably a good thing considering the thousands of dollars you're going to have to save up for the privilege of owning one of these bad boys. "BFGDs change that. With NVIDIA's latest technology built into these new displays, PC gamers can now experience their favorite titles in all the low-latency glory they deserve".

Bigger = better, which is especially true of gaming. That includes an integrated Android TV-based Nvidia Shield, which allows you to stream popular PC games from the cloud as well as watch 4K video from services such as Netflix and YouTube.

Now, there is one display with all those features, and more: the Big Format Gaming Display (BFGD).

Additionally, the 4K HDR display features a full-array direct backlight, 1,000-nit peak luminance and DCI-P3 color gamut for the ultimate in visual quality. If you're looking for a living room upgrade to last the next decade, these could well be the best option. What's more, BFGDs have ultra-low input latency, just like a PC gaming monitor, for the most fluid and responsive big screen gaming experience.

Nvidia didn't reveal pricing or availability, though it's reasonable to assume pricing at least will be quite a bit higher than standard 65-inch 4K displays.

To achieve this we've been working for over two years with leading panel producer AU Optronics to create and flawless 4K and 3440x1440 G-SYNC HDR displays with lightning-fast response times, PC-optimized HDR with 1000 nit peak brightness, full array backlights, Quantum Dot Enhancement Films, and DCI-P3 cinema-quality color gamuts (learn more about NVIDIA G-SYNC HDR here). There's a bundled Nvidia Shield remote and controller as well as support for Google Assistant. Take for instance refresh rates.
