Odds on Anthony Joshua next fight

World Boxing Organization (WBO) heavyweight world champion Joseph Parker believes Anthony Joshua is afraid ahead of their world title unification clash on March 31st at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff.

"These fights aren't easy because there is a lot on the line, so respect to Team Parker for taking the challenge".

But Parker was adamant his punching power would test Joshua.

He added: 'It's about making history now, we are always moving in that direction.

Fury has not fought since defeating Wladimir Klitschko for the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles in November, 2015. In terms of what's been said, I take it with a pinch of salt and roll with the punches'.

Parker responded by claiming it was his "destiny" to be in big fights such as these.

"I would like to announce the official news that myself and Joseph Parker will be fighting on March 31 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff", said Joshua.

Parker's trainer Kevin Barry did admit, however, that his fighter would need to produce the "greatest performance" of his career to emerge victorious.

"I might give him a text and say: 'Bro do you want to walk in with me?'", Parker told The Daily Mail.

After that, the WBC champion Deontay Wilder surely awaits.

Should Joshua and Wilder win, that highly anticipated showdown would leave the victor standing as the first unified heavyweight champion since Lewis in 1999.

The Bronze Bomber faces Luis Ortiz on March 3, with the victor being lined up to fight for all four titles later in 2018.
