Oh, Christmas Tree! Woman Gets Refund For Dead Tree

A California woman who had bought a Christmas tree from Costco went back to return it on January 4, demanding a refund because she claimed that the tree was "dead".

A picture accompanying the post showed a woman with a red "X" over her face standing with a dead Christmas tree at the Costco customer service counter.

A woman returned to Costco with her dead Christmas tree and was granted a full refund.

.

'She did get a refund - not happily though. But not without a little bit of shaming from the store and other customers. The original post was removed but was reposted to Imgur by user JRD761.

People present at the store were shocked as one of them wrote on social media about the lack of moral values of the woman. "Heartbreaking to think she may have needed that money so much, she lost all self respect and dignity for it". He said she was "shamed to a small degree", but wrote, "I don't think it fazed her because she has no conscience".

It also says it won't refund products that have a limited life expectancy - but it seems the woman had expected the Christmas magic to last a little longer.

The woman has not been identified, but she did give shoppers an idea for next year. "Seriously, how cheap can you be?"

Costco is known for a lenient return policy, the paper reported. People do this all the time.
