Omarosa Is Lawyering Up, Will Probably Be Down To Snitch?

Omarosa Manigault-Newman may have secretly recorded confidential White House discussions and is seeking to hire an attorney out of concern she could get ensnared in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation probe, the Daily News reports. The White House said that Manigault Newman had resigned and would leave on January 20.

What's worse, Manigault-Newman is said to be lawyering up, and has reportedly already conducted exploratory meetings with Harvey Weinstein's former attorney Lisa Bloom and former counsel for Bill Cosby, just to start.

That's the thought from a source in one new report. An unnamed source told the paper believes that Omarosa might have compiled files on other staffers.

Omarosa's official last day at the White House is Saturday after a conflicting and explosive turn of events regarding her employment before the Christmas break. For as long as the title was, her time in the White House was apparently largely devoted to planning her wedding and sowing general chaos.

"Our only involvement in this matter was to deactivate the individual's pass which grants access to the complex", the U.S. Secret Service said in a statement.

Sources told the Daily News that Manigault Newman, who abruptly resigned from the White House late previous year, "loves" to record meetings. Manigault-Newman questioned at the time. Her departure from the White House came with rumors that Chief of Staff John Kelly had her physically removed from the premises, and the press interviews she did afterward inspired Robin Roberts to issue an on-air "Bye, Felicia".

However, the nature of the Situation Room's restrictions mean that neither Manigault-Newman nor anyone else would have been able to record her conversation with Kelly even if they had wanted to.

Former reality TV star Omarosa Manigault Newman, who was sacked late a year ago from her job as a Trump aide, reportedly recorded conversations about sensitive issues during her tenure in the White House.

A White House insider said that it was unlikely Manigault Newman had any inside information that could be relevant to Mueller's probe, according to the Daily News.
