OnePlus 5T Sandstone White variant launched: Same price, new texture

OnePlus has launched an all new Sandstone White colour variant of the OnePlus 5T because apparently fans had been asking for a sandstone OnePlus phone - like the company's yesteryear classic OnePlus One - for a long time now.

The rear sandstone finish reminds us of the good-old OnePlus One days, but adds a touch of modern day art. He claims that the company has been experimenting to blend sandstone with metal. The OnePlus 5T Sandstone White is the most complex device we have ever built.

This limited-edition device undergoes four processes. Next, we apply a blend of natural minerals and white oil paint, lending the device its stunning blend of white and gray tones and signature Sandstone feel. Lastly, a UV layer refines the texture, as well as ensure that it remains hard and durable. It only has an 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant, not the 6GB RAM 64GB storage which the original Midnight Black version had. It will be available in limited quantities. However, it is not known at the moment whether the new variant will make its debut in India or not. Rest of them stay the same as the regular version.

As far as specs go, the OnePlus 5T comes with a 6.01-inch full Optic AMOLED display that has 2160x1080 pixels display, thus offering 401 ppi pixel density and has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The panel has a tall 18:9 aspect ratio. The main rear camera features a 16MP sensor while the secondary rear camera is using an 20MP sensor.

The cost of the smartphone is not yet established, but all its hardware features, including edge-to-edge screen and a fingerprint scanner on the back panel, will remain with him. Underneath the lovely body lies the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 GPU. It gets Bluetooth 5 support, which is augmented with AptX HD support for enhanced wireless audio streaming. The phone runs Android Nougat-based Oxygen OS and is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with support for OnePlus' Dash charging.
