Organizers Estimate Women's March Crowd At 300000

Thousands of people in New York alone have already signed up and as of Friday morning, almost 85,000 people had registered to march in the state, according to The New York Times. A demonstrator shows support for the #metoo hashtag of women sharing their stories of sexual assault and violence.

Speakers at the L.A. rally included Scarlett Johansson, Alfre Woodard, Viola Davis and Eva Longoria. "My 401 (k) and my 403 have soared, and if anybody doesn't realize that, they've been asleep for a year", said Miller, a 50-year-old emergency room nurse from Audubon, Pennsylvania, referring to her retirement accounts' growth in a booming stock market".

Thousands are marching throughout California, calling for women to use voting power to oppose Trump administration policies they believe hurt women and families. She was unable to attend the first women's march that drew an estimated 60,000 plus people to downtown Atlanta to protest Trump's presidency and the policies to come.

The march started at about 1:45 p.m.at Civic Center Plaza and ended at The Embarcadero, a main road on the east side of the city.

The real estate mogul tweeted about the marches on Saturday, writing, "Beautiful weather all over our great country, a ideal day for all Women to March". As well, last year's event ignited 673 "sister marches" around the world.

Marchers carried signs that formed a year in review: "Support DACA" (the Obama-era program that gave temporary protection to thousands of undocumented immigrants brought to the USA illegally as kids) one sign read.

Last year's event unexpectedly shut down parts of the Loop with what organizers said was a quarter-million participants flooding Grant Park the day after President Donald Trump's inauguration.

The Women's March in 2017 - held the day after Trump's inauguration - is believed to be the largest single day protest in the history of the United States.

"The energy we saw throughout the year and continuing through today demonstrates once and for all that we are experiencing a resurgence in the women's movement", said organizer Jessica Scheller.

Vendors sold T-shirts, anti-Trump buttons and pink "pussy hats" with cat ears. Of course, it's thus a full-throated cry against Trump and his agenda.
