She noted that the decision made sense for the show, as it is about a working-class American family.

Iconic comedy series "Roseanne" returns to The ABC Television Network on Tuesday, March 27, at 8 p.m. EDT, with nine new episodes featuring the complete original cast - Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf, Michael Fishman and Lecy Goranson.

The actress, an outspoken Trump supporter, reportedly fired back when one reporter accused the president of being xenophobic.

Barr has been a vocal Trump supporter on Twitter, telling her 430,000 followers she voted for him to "shake up" the status quo and because he is "draining the swamp" and going after child sex traffickers. Additionally, she said that she is not a "Trump apologist" and there are things he has done that she doesn't agree with.

"Well, that's your opinion", she said, adding, "Well, he says a lot of insane [expletive] ..."

Barr is a real-life supporter of Trump who said in a since-deleted tweet December 27 that she voted for the businessman to "shake up the status quo & the staid establishment".

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barr told reporters during a press tour that should Winfrey run for president in 2020, as many Americans are calling for after her emotional and riveting Golden Globes acceptance speech, she would possibly consider an opposition run.

Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon's name was then floated and Barr replied: "Actually, I think I would be a better president than Oprah and Susan Sarandon".

John Goodman and Roseanne Barr star in the Roseanne revival series.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Goodman said, "It was exactly like we took a week off and came back to it, and the effect was so unusual that it was remarkable".

"For me it was easy as pie, like falling out of bed, putting on an old shoe", the 65-year-old told journalists. "I have always ... attempted to portray a realistic portrait of the American people and working class people". Sarah Chalke, who played the character Becky in later seasons, will also appear as new character Andrea. That's the date that ABC will premiere its eight-episode revival of the classic sitcom!
