Sony Xperia XZ Pro Specs Leaked, Coming At MWC Next Month

The 4K OLED display should look good on a bezel-less design, which Sony is expected to use on the new flagships that the company will release this year and the ones that will follow.

According to the latest reports, the all-new Sony Xperia XZ Pro may come armed with a 5.7-inch OLED display that will be capable of delivering a stunning 4K resolution.

Since the Sony Xperia XZ Pro will be a flagship offering, it will also have premium internal specs.

Other rumored specifications on the handset include 128GB of storage and we presume it will also come with a microSD card slot. The XZ Pro will be IP68 water and dust resistant, and will employ a 3,420 mAh battery. On the inside, the Xperia XZ Pro will be equipped with a Snapdragon 845 processor, so there's no surprise here. Sony is said to offer the Xperia XP Pro in both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants.

Chinese website MyDrivers has published a screenshot of a leaked document referring to the new phone as the Xperia XZ Pro for the first time.

The handset will also reportedly come with a dual camera setup on the back, composed of an 18 MP sensor and a 12 MP one. On the front of the device there will be a 13 megapixel camera for Selfies and video calls.

Also, the price of the Sony Xperia XZ Pro is expected to be around 6,000 Yuan, which is approximately Rs 59,550.

On the software side of things, the Sony XZ Pro is said to run Android Oreo.

Speculation on a new Sony flagship smartphone has been around for a while - since the end of 2017 - but it's ramping up now Barcelona's Mobile World Congress is on the horizon.

But, going by the way many manufacturers including Samsung trying to usher in foldable displays, it is not possible to blame Sony altogether for experimenting with 4K display.
