SteelSeries Introduce TrueMove3 + Sensor for Their New Rival 600 Mouse

When you pick up your mouse to reposition it, the cursor can move as you set it back down.

Besides those two new features, the Rival 600 looks like another quality gaming mouse from SteelSeries.

Gaming mice are a dime a dozen and at CES this year, we've seen various devices from the likes of Razer and Corsair, but not to be outdone, SteelSeries has also tossed their hat into the ring by unveiling their latest gaming mouse, the SteelSeries Rival 600, a mouse that comes with a rather unique feature.

Gamers can customize when the sensor stops and starts tracking when they lift the mouse off its mat. The second sensor also features linear optical detection for true depth perception for the world's most precise lift-off detection down to 0.5mm (and up to 2mm), says SteelSeries. The mouse uses SteelSeries' tried and tested 12,000 CPI TrueMove 3, which we've seen in other mice such as the Rival 310.

To achieve its surprisingly light weight of just 96g, every material for the Rival 600 was carefully crafted for functionality, weight reduction and extreme durability.

There's a raft of other customization possibilities with the Rival 600, which includes being able to adjust weight and balance across 256 different possible combinations.

At its lightest, the Rival 600 is almost as light as the Rival 310 ergonomic mouse, while at its heaviest it matches the Rival 500 MMO mouse. Unlike most other weighted mice that feature weights that stack in one location of the mouse, the Rival 600's weights are placed in the sides. These can increase the Rival 600's weight from the minimum 96 grams all the way to 128 grams. It also features pure silicone grips and an ultra-durable soft touch finish. The Rival 600 is available now for $80. The mouse is powered by a potent 32-bit ARM processor which delivers low-latency performance allowing you to save CPI and lift off sensor settings, custom lighting effects, button key-binds and full macros on-board, which will come in handy for professional gamers, who often need to lug their gear around.

The Rival 600 is also compatible with SteelSeries Engine Software, which unlocks an impressive arsenal of Engine Apps that make customisation of the 8-zone RGB lighting easy and intuitive.
