York police officer among injured in Harrisburg shooting

Multiple police officers are hospitalized after an officer-involved shooting in Harrisburg this morning, according to reports from media outlets.

The officers were attempting to serve a warrant at a Harrisburg home when they were shot, Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo told PennLive.

Multiple officers were injured in Harrisburg on Thursday morning.

Officials have not released the severity of the officers' injuries at this time.

A second officer, not employed by York, was also injured, police say.

The episode occurred about 6:30 a.m., FOX43 reported. Officers clearing the residence say the shooting suspect was inside, but there's no word on that person's condition or whether that person is in custody.

Neighbors told WHTM they heard dozens of shots fired.
