Alleged Xiaomi Gaming Smartphone Benchmarked With Snapdragon 845

Alleged Xiaomi Gaming Smartphone Benchmarked With Snapdragon 845

Last year, Razer, a company behind some awesome gaming products, launched its first smartphone called the Razer Phone.

China's Weibo has thrown up an AnTuTu listing of a mysterious smartphone carrying the codename of "Blackshark".

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is reportedly working on a gaming smartphone.

Xiaomi is not likely to announce any major smartphone at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Therefore it is safe to say that this smartphone is a Xaiomi Smartphone. The device achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of 2,70,680, which is now the highest rating any smartphone has ever achieved. Among other features, the phone will include 8GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

As per the AnTuTu listing, the Xiaomi Blackshark will get powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset, the octa-core Snapdragon 845, coupled with 8GB of RAM. The screen resolution is mentioned as "2160 x 1080 px" which confirms that the phone will have a tall almost edge-to-edge display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The benchmark listing points out that the gaming smartphone from Xiaomi has scored impressively with 270,680 points that is higher than the alleged score of 265,267 scored by the Samsung Galaxy S9+. With that said, a new entrant on the fledgling gaming smartphone market would be welcome, though knowing Xiaomi and its sub brands, such a device would probably have a hard time making its way to the West.

The features which make the Razer phone a true gaming smartphone is that 120Hz refresh rate display and really good speakers. It managed to attain a score of 270680 points on AnTuTu, which is roughly on par with other similarly specced phones. Which are now not mentioned in the leaked specifications.

Further, the files reveal that the smartphone is codenamed as Polaris which is in line with the earlier reports Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s smartphone codenamed as Polaris. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
