Her scathing words to Larry Nassar became an iconic message of female empowerment.

On Wednesday night, Kate Upton, Ashley Graham, Tyra Banks, and Aly Raisman all had their Valentine's Day celebrations at the glossy's big party, and they certainly looked ready to sparkle in their standout ensems.

The three-time Olympic gold medalist posed nude for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue, with words such as "survivor", "fierce", "women" and "every voice matters" written across her body.

"I would like to remind everyone that being a survivor is nothing to be ashamed of, and going through a hard time does not define you,"
I hope that we can one day get to a point where everyone realizes that women do not have to be modest to be respected".

Modeling for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit isn't easy.

Herrington first appeared in the magazine's swimsuit issue past year.

The 24-year-old golfer and former Monument resident-already an Instagram star thanks in part to her curve-baring photos-had nabbed a spot in Sports Illustrated's famed swimsuit edition.

"Everyone should feel comfortable expressing themselves however makes them happy", Raisman said in a statement about her photo shoot.

"Women can be intelligent, fierce, sexy, powerful, strong, advocate for change while wearing what makes them feel best", she writes. It's such an exciting time for women because now we have a platform to not allow the norm to be the norm anymore.

Raisman was one of more than 100 victims of former United States of America gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar, who was jailed last month for up to 175 years for sexually abusing young gymnasts.

In November, after critics denounced her 2017 semi-nude photo shoot, Raisman fired back.

"I can't even comprehend how angry I feel when I think of you".
