IPhone SE 2 Rumored For WWDC 2018 Announcement

IPhone SE 2 Rumored For WWDC 2018 Announcement

While most believed that the iPhone range will be discontinued to pave way for the X models, it looks like Apple will retain the variant with a home button so as to keep the majority of their buyers happy while embracing new technology at the same time.

Kuo specifically dismisses the likelihood that an iPhone SE 2 would feature any form factor change, 3D sensing features, or even wireless charging.

If the site had claimed that Apple will release a completely redesigned SE 2 handset, with a 4.7-inch display and wireless charging, it would still make some kind of sense, although the latest KGI report does not agree with that either.

According to MacRumors, the latest leak comes from Chinese news website QQ.com, which says that the new iPhone SE will not have an edge-to-edge display like the iPhone X. Subsequent reports said that Apple would release only 3 iPhone models in 2018 including a 6.1-inch model with an LCD display and a single rear-facing camera (iPhone 9), a 5.8-inch unit with an OLED panel (iPhone Xs) and a huge 6.5-inch version with an OLED display (iPhone Xs Plus).

Apple is reportedly working on the successor of its much-popular iPhone SE.

The iPhone SE, which was launched in March 2016, is now becoming a little old in the tooth - and fans of small screen iPhones are getting a bit antsy.

One major change that it will be arriving on the iPhone SE 2 is that it may sport a larger display of 4.2 inches. It will have a glass back similar to that of iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, the report claimed. The smartphone is expected to have 2GB RAM and the base variant will now have 32GB of storage. Apple is also manufacturing the iPhone SE in India.
