Liverpool target Jack Butland denies asking to leave Stoke City

The trio of Premier League clubs is looking to cement a top 4 spot this season which is now up for grabs.

Jack Butland has denied reports that he's told Stoke he wants to leave this summer, amid interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

The 24-year-old keeper used his personal Twitter account to reply to a comment suggesting that he is trying to force a move away from Stoke. "Butland is one of the best goalkeepers going around, in Europe terms as well".

The Gambling Times say Butland has told his club he wants to leave.

Chelsea, may also be on the lookout for a new 'keeper with current number one Thibaut Courtois stalling on a new contract, and the Belgium global has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The goalkeeping duo of Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet has failed to impress, and the German boss sees the Stoke shotstopper as the ideal option.

Despite this, Butland is being earmarked as the man to replace Petr Cech in goal with the veteran expected to hang up his gloves in the near future. Butland posted on social media.
