Praising the resolve of the Kashmiri people, PM Abbasi said that "all Pakistan had to do" was to continue drawing attention to the Kashmir issue on every forum available.

The foreign minister Pakistan always wanted the peaceful solution to the core issue of Kashmir and the world should ensure early implementation of the United Nations resolutions for that goal.

The former prime minister said that no court decision can break the bond I have with people of Kashmir, adding his heart beats equally for Pakistanis and Kashmiris.

In such a situation, Pakistan is the only worldly support for Kashmiri people which raises the human rights issues at relevant quarters and tries to convince the worldwide community to address the Kashmir dispute which has become a nuclear flashpoint and has endangered the peace and stability of the south Asian region.

The prime minister was addressing a joint session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and Kashmir Council on the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

"They ruined my plans", he said, and then chanted a slogan: "Respect the vote". He also prayed that the freedom struggle in Indian held Kashmir achieves victory soon.

Nawaz also promised to turn Muzaffarabad into Lahore, vowing a continuous increase in AJK's development budget.

In a statement issued to KNS, JKDFP said that party's incarcerated chief Shabir Ahmad Shah has always appreciated the support of Pakistan towards the freedom struggle of Kashmiri people at diplomatic, political and moral fronts.

A one-minute silence was observed nationwide at 10am to pay homage to the sacrifices of the people of Kashmir and their struggle.

President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday said that banned militant organisations operating in different parts of the world were being mobilised in India-held Kashmir (IHK) in order to sabotage the indigenous movement of the Kashmiris.
