Not getting the message: problems with Telstra network

Telstra has confirmed they're now experiencing a disruption affecting some customers trying to send and receive iMessage's.

The carrier's outages page confirmed the problem.

It's not your fault - Telstra has advised there is an issue with its Apple iMessage and Facetime.

'Haven't been able to send iMessage for the last three hours. The Australian telco had acknowledged the problem and has since resolved the issue.

"Earlier today some customers experienced a disruption to Apple iMessage and FaceTime services".

At the time, Telstra posted a notice at its website, suggesting users switch temporarily to regular SMS messages. You can continue to send and receive SMS messages.

'We're aware of the issue and we're looking into it, and will provide an update as soon as possible, ' a Telstra spokesman said. "If you hit "more" you can highlight the message and delete it too".

Telstra announced the outage about 10.30am, saying: "Some customers may be experiencing an issue".

Telstra is having major issues across Australia when it comes to people using both iMessage and FaceTime. Users have complained to the Apple Support account on Twitter, but that account seems to be oblivious as to what's going on. Let us know down in the comments!
