Ram 1500 gets the Mopar treatment in Chicago

2019 Ram 1500 truck gets loaded with Mopar goodies in Chicago originally appeared on Autoblog on Friday, 09 Feb 2018 00:01:00 EST. Those parts will also be backed by the same warranty as the rest of the truck.

"At the Chicago Auto Show, Mopar is showcasing the art of the possible when it comes to accessorizing the all-new Ram 1500", said Pietro Gorlier, Head of Parts and Service (Mopar), FCA. Outfitted with custom Mopar products - approximately 200 - the "outdoor-sport-themed 2019 Ram 1500" is an eye-catching example of how transformative accessories can be to a vehicle, both in terms of style and function.

Like all 2019 Ram 1500 wheels, these Mopar 18-inch wheels have a six-lug pattern with a body-colored beadlock system that bolts onto the outer edge of the rim.

For maximum visual effect, the Mopar-branded off-road wheel flares fit the bill along with the cast-aluminum running boards. The rear Ram Rack is adjustable, with the ability to slide all the way up to the front Ram Rack. A Mopar bed step, featuring an articulating arm, lowers down for easy access. Mopar has developed a new cold-air intake system it calls "Ram Airflow", which can be fitted to 5.7-liter V8 models beginning later this year.

Also, the 5-inch tips give the truck a muscular appearance out back.

Visually, the Ram gets a black Mopar logo on the hood, black Ram emblems and badges, black tow hooks and a Mopar logo in the trailer hitch. Mopar has some of those too, including black Katzkin leather upholstery for the seats embroidered with the Ram head logo. Mopar brushed aluminum door sill guards carry the R-A-M text logo.

By the time the new Ram reaches dealerships across the United States, customers will have over 200 Mopar accessories to choose from when creating their dream pickup.

Shortly after announcing a number of Mopar upgrades for the Dodge Durango, FCA has done the same thing with the new 2019 Ram 1500.

Those 2019 Ram 1500 owners who plan to go off-road will be interested in the Mopar lift kit and the Mopar beadlock wheels. In order to be the best, it takes a commitment to innovation, capability, efficiency and durability.

Other manufacturers have been following the Ram aftermarket product strategy.
