Apple Hosting 'Let's take a field trip' Media Event March 27th

The invite features a stylized Apple logo (seen above) along with the phrase "Let's take a field trip", which sticks to the event's education theme. The invitations said the event will focus on "creative new ideas for teachers and students". The invitation was released to the media on 16th March, Friday.

As we have mentioned earlier, Apple is inviting people to take part in the education event held at a high school in Chicago. The "Everybody can Code" App also recently rolled out to 70 universities in Europe. Apple now offers a $329 iPad which is targeted at the objective of education but they are rumored to be in the works of producing a cheaper one at a probable price of $250. Henceforth, the venue as Chicago makes sense for the company. According to a recent report from Taiwan's Economic Daily News, Apple is gearing up to launch 12.9in iPad Pro and a brand-new 11in iPad Pro, with both models expected to offer slimmed-down bezels, A11X processors and support for Face ID.

While that sounds pretty boring for fans of Apple's consumer products, there might be more in this event beyond the classroom. Apple is also working on a cheaper MacBook Air which again targets towards schools.

We shouldn't expect too much more in the way of new software announcements given WWDC is just around the corner on June 4. Past year the company introduced the new 9.7-inch iPad on March 21.
