Ark: Survival Evolved mutates its way to mobile

Ark: Survival Evolved mutates its way to mobile

The iOS and Android port of the game was designed and developed by War Drum Studios, and is a free-to-play version of the game which is created to give mobile gamers the full online survival experience from the PC and console versions of the game. Prior to this mobile launch, Ark has racked up sales of more than 9 million copies and over 13 million players across all platforms.

Studio Wildcard and War Drum Studios have joined forces to bring the ARK: Survival Evolved experience to mobile. It features Ark's familiar levelling, crafting and building systems, enabling you to construct everything from clothing and weapons to elaborate bases, as well as over 80 creatures to tame and exploit while surviving the perils of Ark's classic island map. Following that test run, War Drum and Studio Wildcard are planning to launch the game on both iOS and Android this spring. It will be both designed and developed by War Drum Studios and will be free-to-play. The mobile game will feature a single-player mode and the "full" online multiplayer dinosaur survival experience. Ark: Survival Evolved will hit the App Store and Google Play at some point in the future, and the developer is accepting signups for people who want to know more about the progress of the app. The game looked pretty good in the trailer, though we will wait until release to give a better verdict.
