Babies who look like their dad are healthier

Babies who look like their dad are healthier

And the babies who look like pop were found to be healthier by the time they turned one year old.

This area of research shows the importance of encouraging absent fathers to spend more time with their babies, the researchers said.

Researchers noted that dads who spent more time with babies who resembled them had added certainty about the children's paternity.

So says a new Binghamton University study, which analyzed more than 700 families from the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing (FFCW) study where the newborn baby lived with only his or her mother. When infants look like their fathers, they are more likely to spend time with them.

Infants who look like their father at birth are likely to be healthier by their first birthday according to a new USA study, as fathers are more inclined to spend time with children who look like them.

The findings suggest that the father-child resemblance can induce the father to spend more days per month and become more engaged in positive parenting.

Sometimes asking for a dad to be involved in their child's life is easier said than done so shout out to the single mums who are providing everything and more for their child's need.

It's important to note that the study focused exclusively on families with mothers and fathers who weren't married or living at the same home.

That increased bonding time improves the overall health of the baby, decreasing potential exposure to harm and allowing for "greater parental time for caregiving and supervision and for information gathering about child health and economic needs".

With income equality in the United States continuing to increase, and single-parent families often feeling the brunt of economic hardships, kids from these homes are at a disadvantage to begin with - and poor health is only going to make that problem worse.
