Chrissy Teigen Worries About Suffering Postpartum Depression Again With New Baby

In just a few months Chrissy Teigen will welcome her second child, but she's anxious she may battle postpartum depression again.

The model opened up about the postpartum depression that she suffered the first go around with the audience starting off by saying, "Do I worry about this little boy? I do".

At the Create & Cultivate Conference on Saturday, Teigen, who is pregnant with her second baby with singer John Legend, confessed in an interview that she was still thinking about the recurrence of postpartum depression.

"I didn't know I had it", Teigen explained, E News reports. "Maybe I'm just not a goofy person anymore".

She added that she could do this with the support she would get from the people surrounding her. Teigen further enlightened attendees with postpartum depression and likened it as to "coming down from any drug".

She revealed that she had isolated herself from people, just literally staying at home most of the time. "I knew that I had an incredible life, and an incredible husband, and family, and all the resources necessary, and I knew that I was personally unhappy, but I didn't think anything was wrong with it because I just assumed that that's the way it was". "I'm speaking up now because I want people to know it can happen to anybody, and I don't want people who have it to feel embarrassed or to feel alone".

"I do wish that more people had spoken up around me", she said. "It took me to finally sit myself down because I think it's hard for people to point something out". I'm so filtered. If you followed me like six, seven years ago, that was like, fuck Chrissy.

Teigen is now pregnant with her second child, and the American model recently admitted that she's been craving numerous things pregnant women are told to avoid, including cold meats and alcohol. "John would sleep on the couch with me, sometimes four nights in a row", she recalled. But I don't know how I would have handled it if I were still paying the dues and having to answer to certain people.

"The only thing I don't like about him cooking is that it takes me away from him for a long time because he's very slow in the kitchen. Sometimes I'm scared. I delete my drafts every once in a while, just because I'm like, if these got out, it's frightful".

"I didn't know I had it".

Teigen previously shared that she experienced psychological and physical symptoms of PPD, which can manifest as lethargy and a loss of appetite.
