Clinton on Trump-Putin ties

Clinton spoke at the India Today Conclave in Mumbai, India, over the weekend, where a journalist introduced her as the "woman who should have been the president of the United States of America".

But when asked if the Russians have anything compromising on Trump, Clinton said, "We'll find out". "I win the coast, I win, you know, IL and Minnesota, places like that".

Purie asked Clinton why she believes more than 50 percent of white women voted for Trump in 2016. She played up the states that supported her as more economically advanced than the states that voted for Trump, calling them "dynamic" and "moving forward". She said she has no plans to do so.

"If you watch reality TV, you know it means that the person who is the most outrageous, the person who says the politically incorrect things, the person who's insulting and attacking drives big ratings, and I think part of what happened in the election is nearly an attraction that many people had to the role that was being played by him as the candidate for president", said Clinton.

Clinton then told a story from the second debate between her and Trump, a town hall-style debate. "You don't like seeing that Indian American succeeding more than you".

During the 2017 Professional Business Women of California Conference in San Francisco in March, she mentioned some of the multiple controversies that had been roiling the White House at the time, and said that she would remain politically engaged, for better or worse.

She made clear later in the discussion that she did not know where the special counsel's investigation into Russian election meddling and possible coordination with Trump's team is likely to lead. Yet this is the picture Clinton painted of Trump's support.
